The great olive poisoning of 1919 -- one of the Carnation City’s most popular topics from the past -- will be the focus of the Alliance Historical Society’s annual meeting in 2024.
A legendary world leader will be brought to life at Rodman Public Library at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 30 when Sidney Zufall presents “Winston Churchill: The British Bulldog.”
Cassandra J. Kelly will discuss and read from her debut novel, The Clearing, when she appears at Rodman Public Library at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13 as part of the 2024 Fogle Author Series.
Using research compiled by Alliance Historical Society Vice President Michelle Dillon, fellow board member Jack Weber, the community relations manager at Rodman Public Library, will tell the story on Wednesday, October 30 when he presents “Only Murders in Alliance, Part II: The Life, Death, and Mystery of Mattie Hayes.”
Held in conjunction with the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival, the annual Friends of Rodman Library Used Book Sale – one of the largest in the area -- will run from Saturday, August 2 through Wednesday, August 6.
