Rodman Public Library will be closed both Friday, July 4, and Saturday, July 5, in honor of Independence Day.
This includes both the Main and Branch locations.
Although our building isn’t open, patrons can still find reading material and information with their library card online.
Our digital collection includes more than 70 databases (www.rodmanlibrary.com/databases) in 21 categories.
We have online learning platforms (www.rodmanlibrary.com/digital), such as LinkedIn Learning, Universal Class, Transparent Language and creativebug.
Our robust genealogy and local history resources (www.rodmanlibrary.com/genealogy) include, but are not limited to, Alliance yearbooks from 1910 through 2017, HeritageHub, Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps and the popular Alliance Memory Project and Oral Histories of Alliance. You can even read today’s newspaper online through Newsbank, located with our local history resources.
And of course, patrons can enjoy ebooks and audio books through hoopla (www.hoopladigital.com) and Ohio Digital Library (ohdbks.overdrive.com), which also features more than 3,000 magazines (ohdbks.overdrive.com/library/magazines) and 2,800 comics (ohdbks.overdrive.com/library/comics).
So while you may not be able to enter our building today, you can still explore, discover and empower yourself with Rodman Public Library.
