Rodman Public Library will host an Avengers-themes Tower Escape Room on Tuesday, July 11.

From 2 to 5 p.m., teens, competing in a group up to five will work in 40-minute increments to complete tasks in order to find the shutdown code to stop Ultron from taking over the Avengers Tower.

Summer Reading Program Kick Off Event

To get the summer reading program started, a portion of Rodman Public Library - the auditorium and the gallery -- will be transformed into a mini carnival from 1 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 1. Throughout the area there will be midway games such as Plinko, Basketball Pop-a-Shot, Ring Toss, Golf, and a Kiddie Hi-Striker.

You're invited to join Rodman Public Library, the Alliance High School Choralaires and Santa Claus for a holiday get together. The festivities will take place on Saturday, December 3, starting at 2:00 p.m. when the Alliance High School Choralaires will entertain guests by singing Christmas carols. At the conclusion of their performance, they will introduce Santa Claus, who will greet the children. Santa will be available for photos and will pass out a treat. Space is limited for the holiday party and registration is required. For information, call 330-821-2665.

The run will be offered four times, including at 5:00 OR 6:00 on Monday, Dec. 12, OR at 5:00 p.m. OR 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 13. "The Polar Express," written by Chris Van Allsburg, will be read and passengers should be prepared for surprises along the way. Pajamas are encouraged, but not required.
