Although it is called a club, there is no formal membership and no registration is required to attend Alliance Vinyl Club meetings, which are open to all music lovers. Those attending are encouraged to bring in some of their favorite records to play for others.

April is the time to Get Gardening.

Those interested in growing their own produce this year and only have a small plot of space available will want to join Jennifer White from the Stark County Ohio State University Extension when she visits Rodman Public Library at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 10.

A book launch for a noted Mount Union professor will highlight the annual meeting for the Alliance Area Preservation Society and Haines House Underground Railroad Museum on Monday, April 24 at 6:30 pm at the Rodman Library auditorium.

The Friends of Rodman Public Library will hold its annual members meeting and conduct a mini used book sale on Saturday, April 22 at the Main Library.

All patrons who purchased a Friends of RPL membership in the past year are encouraged to attend the members meeting at 10:30 a.m. inside the auditorium. During the meeting, which is free and open to the public, members will vote on a slate of officers and three proposed revisions to the group's by-laws. A basket will be raffled off during the meeting that will last about half an hour.

Maker Monday crafters will create a button flower shadow box when they meet Monday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in Rodman Public Library's Main Auditorium.

The Alliance Vinyl Club will take on a bluesy vibe in April.

The group will welcome special guest J.J. Vicars when it gathers Wednesday, April 5 at Rodman Public Library.

Rodman Public Library is all revved up for a special teen event in April - the RPL MarioKart Tournament from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 13.

Open to teens, ages 12-18, prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers of the tournament which will feature a 1v1 format. All courses, vehicles and characters will be featured in the event. Players will alternate selecting courses and matches will be the best two out of three in the double-elimination tournament.

No registration is required to compete.
