Rodman Public Library has set its holiday hours.
Both the Main and Branch libraries will be closed all day on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. They will reopen on Friday, December 26 for normal business hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Both facilities will also close at 1 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and remain closed through New Year’s Day, opening on Friday, January 2 for normal business hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In addition, the Branch will be closed both Sunday, December 21 and Sunday, December 28.
Although our building isn’t open, patrons can still find reading material and information with their library card online.
Our digital collection includes several databases in many categories.
We have online learning platforms, such as LinkedIn Learning, Universal Class, Transparent Language.
Our robust genealogy and local history resources include, but are not limited to, Alliance and Marlington yearbooks, HeritageHub, Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps and the popular Alliance Memory Project and Oral Histories of Alliance. You can even read local and national newspapers online through Newsbank, located with our local history resources.
And of course, patrons can enjoy ebooks and audio books through hoopla and the Ohio Digital Library, which also provides access to more than 2,800 comics and 3,000 magazines through the Ohio Digital Library.
So while you may not be able to access our building today, you still have the world at your fingertips with a card from Rodman Public Library.
