Rodman Public Library invites children, ages 8-12, to Kids Gaming every first Wednesday of each month at the Main Library Auditorium. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., children will be treated to open play of video games, Minecraft, etc. on devices provided by the library. Registration is required for each session.

Calling all stuffed animal friends! Do you need a getaway? Would you like to meet new friends? If so, on Friday, August 6, your human can drop you off at the Branch library between 3pm and 5pm for a sleepover! Stuffed Animals will get to enjoy things like cart races, movies, playing on the computer, and many more shenanigans throughout the night. Pictures will be posted on the library's social media pages for your human to view during the sleepover. Then they can come pick you up the next morning and enjoy a light brown bag breakfast with you. Spaces are limited. Don't wait to sign up.

Rodman Public Library invites children to test their agility skills through a Pool Noodle Obstacle Course on Saturday, July 31. The course will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the Main Library. Children can stop by any time during those hours to make a run through various obstacles made out of pool noodles. Rodman Public Library invites children, ages 8-12, to join the Kids Book Club, which will meet on the third Wednesday of each month. The fall selections include The 13-Story Treehouse by Andy Griffiths for Sept. 15, Malcolm at Midnight by W.H. Beck on Oct. 20, Sweeping Up the Heart by Kevin Henkes on Nov. 17 and OCDaniel by Wesley King on Dec. 15. Books are available for extended checkout at the Children's Department. Registration is required for each session.

Rodman Public Library is offering children ages 6 to 12 the opportunity to act as an archeologist this summer. Beginning July 14, kids can pick up a kit (while supplies last) in the Children's Department at the Main Library that will include a dig brick containing real fossils, a wooden stylus, a dusting brush, and an identification guide.

Shakespeare At The Castle, a theater troupe in residence at the University of Mount Union each summer, will grace the Rodman Public Library's Main Auditorium at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 31.

Rodman Public Library invites children of all ages to a Bubble Bonanza program on Saturday, June 19 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. This outdoor event will include stories, music, and giant bubbles. Storytime is open to preschool children on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. in the Children's Program Room, beginning June 3 through July 29. The goal of Storytime is to encourage life-long readers through stories, music, movement and activities. Space is limited and registration is required. Registering will automatically sign you up for all nine sessions.  Please sign up as a "group" and indicate the total number of people who will be attending.  You can register on our online calendar or by calling the Children's Department at 330-821-2665 ext. 223.
