Monkey Storytime with Hot Pots

Children, ages 3-12, are invited to Rodman Branch Library for a Monkey Storytime on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 6:30 p.m. or Saturday, Jan. 20, at 11:00 a.m. A story will be read first at the library, then children and their guardian will proceed to Hot Pots to paint a Baby Bongo the Monkey figurine. Snacks will be offered. The cost is $10.00, payable to Hot Pots before the event. Registration is required for this event and can be made

Tales for Tails

Rodman Public Library offers children the chance to try their reading skills on local therapy dogs on one Saturday each month from 1:00-3:00 p.m. These specially trained dogs will "listen" to stories in the Children's Program Room at the Main Library.

Lego Splash

Children can use their imagination and build with Legos at Rodman Public Library when the Lego Splash returns to the Children's Department on the second Saturday of each month. The program will take place from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the Children's Program Room. We provide the Lego and Duplo bricks, you provide the creations! The program is open to children of all ages. No registration is required. For more information, or if you would like to donate Lego or Duplo bricks to the library for these programs, stop by or call the Children's Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Just for Boys Book Club

Boys, ages 8-12, are invited to meet in the Children's Department at Rodman Public Library for the Just for Boys Book Club.  Meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month from 4:15-5:00 p.m. Meetings include a book discussion, games and other activities.  Children must be able to read on a 4-6 grade reading level.  Participants have a four-week checkout of a selected title one month in advance.
