Wee Read

Wee Read, a program offered through the Children's Department, is designed to introduce children to books, fingerplays and music incorporating the six early learning skills.  Patrons, ages birth through two years, and their parents or caregivers are invited to Wee Read, Monday evenings at the main library from 6:30-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday mornings at the main library from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Sessions last 20-30 minutes.  No registration is required.  Come as often as you like. Tales for Tails

Rodman Public Library offers children the chance to try their reading skills on local therapy dogs on Saturday from 1:00-3:00 p.m. These specially trained dogs will "listen" to stories in the Children's Program Room at the Main Library.

Butterfly Storytime with Hot Pots

Children, ages 3-12, are invited to Rodman Branch Library for Butterfly Storytime on Wednesday, Apr. 18, at 6:30 p.m. or Saturday, Apr. 21, at 11:00 a.m. A story will be read first at the library, then children and their guardian will proceed to Hot Pots to paint a ceramic butterfly. Snacks will be offered. The cost is $10.00, payable to Hot

Just for Girls Book Club

Girls, ages 8-12, are invited to meet in the Children's Department at Rodman Public Library for the Just for Girls Book Club.  Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month from 4:15-5:00 p.m.  Meetings include a book discussion, games and other activities. Children must be able to read on a 4-6 grade reading level.  Participants have a four-week checkout of a selected title one month in advance.  Registration is required.
