Area children are invited to a family pumpkin painting event at the Rodman Branch Library on Oct. 8 Children can visit the Branch Library on that day between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. to pick out a pumpkin and paint it during the make and take activity. The library will provide the pumpkins, paint and other decorations for the kids to use. For more information, call 330-821-1313.

Children, ages 5-12, are invited to Rodman Public Library anytime between 4 and 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 to for a drop-in make and take kids crafting program to create a fall critter magnet. All materials used during monthly kids crafting programs are provided for free thanks to the Friends of Rodman Public Library. Rodman Public Library's popular children's Halloween party will be held Saturday, October 15 at the Main Library. Open to families with children of all ages, the fun will include a craft, treats, games and more. Families can stop by the Children's Department anytime between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. to take part in the fun. Costumes are not mandatory, but they are encouraged. No Registration is necessary. Children, ages 4-12, will come to the Branch for a mini storytime and then proceed to Hot Pots accompanied with their guardian to paint a pumpkin.  Registration is required. Cost for the event is $10.00 payable to Hot Pots upon registration. To register, go to hotpotspottery.com.

On each Tuesday at 6:30 p.m., parents or caregivers are invited to participate in an entertaining evening with their preschool and school-aged children in Rodman Main Children's Department. For children ages 3 to 5, Storytime will offer music, interaction and stories.
