Sara Bir, a chef, writer and editor with the recipe website Simply Recipes, will visit the Main Library Auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.13 to demonstrate how to make some easy candies just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Bir, who has authored three cookbooks, including Tasting Ohio, The Fruit Forager's Companion, and The Pocket Pawpaw Cookbook, will provide recipes and show how to make peanut butter buckeyes, Christmas cracker candy, and caramel corn.

Registration is required for Bir's holiday candy making program.

Walker has never been solved.

Just in time for Halloween, James A. Willis will give some insight into what it's like to go ghost hunting when he presents "Meet The Ghosts of Ohio" at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18 in the Rodman Public Library Auditorium.

 Largely Literary Theater Company co-founders Sara Showman (from the South) and Mark Dawidziak (from the North) will examine the War Between the States with a mixture of haunting tales, literary selections, song and history when they visit Rodman Public Library's Main Auditorium at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct.

Local musician and community organizer Willis Gordon will present a Blues and Jazz Showcase in the Rodman Public Library Main Auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 16. Gordon, 31, is a GlenOak High School graduate and veteran of the U.S. Navy who is known for his work with the local NAACP and veterans issues as well as his music.
