Patrons thankful for Rodman Public Library

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we asked some of our patrons what they were thankful for about Rodman Public Library.

Here's what they had to say:

RICHARD BUCARIONBucarion

“A library is more than just a collection of books. It’s also the people who work there and Rodman Library’s staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help. They have assisted me numerous times over the years."

“I am thankful that during the pandemic everyone worked so hard to keep us safe while still getting us our books. And I am thankful for those new doors. I love them.”

BARB GAUGHANBarb Gaughan

“I am thankful for the books, of course. But I am also thankful that the library is so welcoming. Everyone here is warm and it is a friendly atmosphere. I was thankful that it was here when I moved here four years ago and that I found it. I am thankful for the extra things like the crafting programs and it’s a nice place to come to meet new people."

“I'm usually at the Branch on a daily basis. The availability of the Branch is a positive asset. I live just south of it. I usually catch up on news by reading the daily newspapers. The selection of books is extensive. The librarians are always friendly and helpful.”

“I am thankful that the library is a warm place with WiFi where I can charge my devices and many of the other services that it provides."

“I am thankful that the library gives me the opportunity to meet new people. It also allows me to learn more about the craft of writing and helps me get better at it through Teen Book Club and Teen Writing Club."

“I am thankful for being able to use the Pixlr program to edit my vacation photos from when I went out to Kansas, Colorado, Utah, and New Mexico. I am also thankful for using Ancestry.com to find my fourth great grandparents on both parents’ side. And I am thankful for the pleasant, personable and helpful characters who work at the library.”

“I am thankful for the library because I believe it is an essential part of our community. We are fortunate to have a public library that provides activities for everyone from the wee babies to the senior citizens and everyone in between, especially the youth programs.”

“I am thankful for the wonderful librarians that work at the Rodman Public Library Branch. They are always so friendly, helpful, and accommodating when I request books or videos. I always look forward to going to this Branch because it is a happy place.”

ERIC TAGGARTEric Taggart

Rodman Public Library Director

I am thankful for our patrons, who have always supported Rodman Public Library through thick and thin. The past two years have obviously been full of change, but our patrons have adjusted to everything — from life during a pandemic to a new computer catalog — with grace and patience. I feel fortunate to serve the greater Alliance community — a great place to live and work!
