RODMAN STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Anne Osborne

Meet Anne Osborne, a children's assistant who has been at Rodman Public Library since January 2022.

Here are some things to know about Anne:

What is your favorite part about your job?
It is so much fun to see children get excited about reading. It’s a special moment when someone returns and tells us how much they loved a book we recommended.

What is your favorite book or author?

My favorite genre is fantasy. Anything with magic is a good bet. I still delight in rereading old favorites like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and Eragon.

What is your favorite food or snack?

My perfect dessert is the black tie mousse cake from Olive Garden.

What is your favorite TV show or movie?

I love New Girl. My favorite character is Nick Miller. He’s completely ridiculous while simultaneously relatable. So many of his lines are iconic.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Aside from the obvious (reading), I enjoy playing board games, Nintendo Switch games, and Pokémon Go. I just started to crochet amigurumi, which is making small stuffed animals with yarn. So far, I have had minor success in making little dinosaurs. I also volunteer at Pegasus Farm once a week and I hope to learn to ride soon myself.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

I am a Cedar Point fanatic. The best day ever was when I got to ride Steel Vengeance three times in a row with no wait.

If you could visit anywhere, where would it be?

I would take a tour across Europe.

What super power would you like to have?

The best superpower would be shapeshifting. The possibilities are endless!
