A familiar face is filling a new position at Rodman Public Library.
DJ Digianantonio, who has been on the staff at RPL for 12 years, has been promoted to the position of assistant director.
Digianantonio prides himself on providing quality customer service and says he will continue to do so in his new role.
“I have always enjoyed working with the public,” said Digianantonio. “With this promotion, I will get to be involved in a larger part of the forward facing services at the library. Of course, this is a new position at Rodman Library, and it is always exciting to do something new and to take on the opportunities as well as the challenges that it may present.”
A lifelong resident of Stark County, Digianantonio was hired in October 2011 as Rodman Public Library’s first teen librarian and a member of the reference staff. In September of 2014, the Perry High School and Kent State University graduate took over as head of the reference department.
As assistant director, he will continue to be in charge of the reference department and teen services at Rodman Library while taking on more administrative duties.
“DJ is an incredibly talented librarian and is very dedicated to the Alliance community and Rodman Public Library,” said Director Eric Taggart. “His promotion to assistant director is very well-deserved. I know that we are a better library with DJ taking on an expanded role within the organization.”
Digianantonio lives in Alliance with his wife, Stacy, who is head of children’s services at RPL, and their two sons, Oliver, 7, and Henry, 3.
