Teen Book Club (September 18)
The Teen Book Club at Rodman Public Library is regrouping following a summer hiatus.
All teens, ages 12-18, are invited to join the club, which is just for teens. The first meeting will be held Monday, September 18 at 4 p.m.
Bring a favorite YA book or two to share and the group will decide what books to read moving forward during the meeting.

Movie Matinee (September 23)
On Saturday, September 23 at 1 p.m., the library will show The Little Mermaid, the 2023 musical romance fantasy version that is a live-action adaptation of a 1989 animated film of the same name that was based on an 1837 fairy tale.
The film, which is rated PG and runs 2 hours, 15 minutes. will be shown on the big screen inside the Main Auditorium.
The film is free to attend and freshly popped popcorn will be provided, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library.
Registration is not required for the all-ages event, but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.
Teen Anime Club (September 26)
All teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library on Tuesday, September 26 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Teens will have the chance to pick their favorite episodes to be shown on RPL’s big screen. Anime Club will meet in the main auditorium of Rodman Public Library. Teen Anime Club meets on the last Tuesday of every month. Teen Writing Club (September 27)
Creative ideas flowing? Join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Writing Club that meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 3:30 p.m. at the Main Library. September meetings are planned for September 13 and September 27. No registration is required. Have fun meeting with your fellow teen writers to exchange ideas, hone your skills and share your work, if desired. For information, call 330-821-2665 ext. 217.
Teen Gaming (September 28)
Area teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library every other Thursday to play their favorite video games on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 with Kinect, Playstation 3 & 4, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Wii & WiiU. September sessions are planned for September 14 and September 28 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Main Auditorium. Visitors will have the opportunity to play a different game each week. Games with ratings from “E” for Everyone, up to “T” for Teen level, will be offered. No registration is required for these free gaming events. Movie Matinee (September 30)
On Saturday, September 9 at 1 p.m., the library will show the 2023 animated superhero film Elemental on the big screen inside the Main Auditorium.
The film is rated PG and runs 1 hour and 41 minutes.
The film is free to attend and freshly popped popcorn will be provided, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library.

Teen D&D (October 9)
Teens, 12-18, can sign up at Rodman Public Library to participate in an ongoing series of “one-shot” Dungeons and Dragons missions every month. Players do not have to play consistently each month to participate.
Those interested can sign up via our online calendar on a month-to-month basis. Space will be limited each month to six players. A DnD Beyond account and email address is required to play.
Before the day of the program, participants will receive a link to the campaign on DnD Beyond via email in order to add their character to the campaign page so the Dungeon Master can review the character beforehand. The Dungeon Master will also inform the participants via email what is needed for their character sheet within the parameters of the adventure (level, items, etc.).
Participants must create a character before the day of the program and have the character ready to go to maximum the time set aside for gameplay. If you need assistance creating a DnD Beyond account or a character, please make arrangements with the Reference Department ahead of time.
Sessions will be held on the second Mondays of each month from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The next session will be held on Monday, October 9.

Five Nights at Freddy's Pizza Party (October 26)
Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to a Five Nights at Freddy’s Pizza and Trivia Party on Thursday, October 26 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
During the event, teens will have the opportunity to make their own mini pizza, make FNAF-themed crafts, and participate in a trivia contest to win prizes. A photo booth will also be available.
Registration is not required to attend this free event, which is sponsored by Friends of Rodman Public Library.
