Friends of Rodman Public Library Annual Used Book Sale will take place Sunday through Thursday, July 29-August 2. This year there are 100,000+ items due to extensive donations received from the academic libraries of the University of Mount Union and increased patron donations. Since there are too many items to display at once, tables will be restocked frequently. The book sale also includes DVDs, CDs, video and audio tapes, magazines, puzzles, and a large assortment of PLAYER PIANO ROLLS. A listing of collectible books for sale is also available which may be viewed on the Library’s website at www.rodmanlibrary.com/collectibles.
Sunday, July 29, begins the book sale for active Friends of the Library members, from 1 to 5 p.m. Friends memberships are available at the door on Sunday. The sale continues Monday and Tuesday, July 30 and 31, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., for the general public. On Wednesday, August 1, the hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., for the general public at regular book sale pricing. From 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Friends members may “Buy One Bag for $1, Get One Bag Free,” or non-members may “Buy Each Bag for $1.” The book sale concludes on Thursday, August 2, with a “Buy One Bag for $1, Get One Bag Free” for members, and “Buy Each Bag for $1” for non-members. Thursday’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Gift baskets will again be raffled off during the book sale for $1 per ticket or six tickets for $5. Rodman Library cheerfully accepts book donations for the book sale any time during the year. The drop-off is located at the Adult Circulation Desk in the Main Library. Small donations may be made at the Library Branch, located at the Marketplace Plaza. Donations of books and magazines that are in good condition are preferred. Funds raised during the book sale are used to buy equipment for the Library and for special projects and events.
