Teens, 12-18, can sign up at Rodman Public Library to participate in an ongoing series of "one-shot" Dungeons and  Dragons missions every month based on the Candlekeep Mysteries sourcebook. Players do not have to play consistently each month to participate.

Those interested can sign up via our online calendar on a month-to-month basis. Space will be limited each month to six players. A DnD Beyond account and email address is required to play.

Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to attend Nerf Night from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 3. Teens should start to assemble in the Main Library auditorium at 5:15 p.m. for the after-hours event. Participants may bring in their own Nerf weapons or use some provided by the library. The library will also provide Nerf darts. Space is limited and registration is required at rodmanlibrary.evanced.info/signup. Teens who want to help shape services and programs at Rodman Public Library are encouraged to join the Teen Advisory Board.

A meeting will be held in the Main Library conference room from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 13 for teens, ages 12-18, who are interested in joining.

Children, ages 5-12, are invited to Rodman Public Library anytime between 4 and 4:45 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10 to for a drop-in make and take kids crafting program to create a fall critter magnet. All materials used during monthly kids crafting programs are provided for free thanks to the Friends of Rodman Public Library. With the planned release of "Hocus Pocus 2" at the end of September, Rodman Public Library is getting into the Halloween spirit a little early this year.

The library will screen the original 1993 American fantasy comedy "Hocus Pocus" at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26 on the big screen in the Main Auditorium. The film follows three sisters who were executed in the 17th century for witchcraft and who are inadvertently resurrected by a teenage boy in Salem, Massachusetts on Halloween night.

Rodman Public Library's popular children's Halloween party will be held Saturday, October 15 at the Main Library. Open to families with children of all ages, the fun will include a craft, treats, games and more. Families can stop by the Children's Department anytime between 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. to take part in the fun. Costumes are not mandatory, but they are encouraged. No Registration is necessary. Craft: Yarn Pumpkins

Led by Nicole Brown, Maker Monday is an in-person craft program for adults that is held monthly on select Mondays. All materials are provided free of charge, thanks to Friends of Rodman Library, but space is limited and registration is required for each session.

Rodman Public Library invites patrons to get to know their food a little better from the inside out when Holly Bandy of the Ohio State University Extension's College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Science, presents "Know Your Food" at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3.
