To mark the launch of the new video game Pokmon Scarlet & Violet, Rodman Public Library will host an afternoon of Pokmon fun on Friday, November 18 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Attendees will not be playing the new video game, but will play other games and take part in other Pokmon-related activities..

Sarah Miller, a prolific writer with both fiction and non-fiction to her credit, will visit Rodman Public Library as part of the Fogle Author Series to discuss her work, which includes eight books with two titles coming out this fall. Miller, has made a career of giving technicolor voice to peripheral women of classic literature, beginning with her portrayal of Little House on the Prairie's Caroline "Ma" Ingalls in Caroline: Little House, Revisited.

Teens who have an interest in writing are encouraged to join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Writing Club that meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays at 3:30 p.m. in computer lab at the Main Library. Have fun meeting with your fellow teen writers to exchange ideas, hone your skills and share your work, if desired. No registration is required. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 217.

Teens, 12-18, can sign up at Rodman Public Library to participate in an ongoing series of "one-shot" Dungeons and  Dragons missions every month based on the Candlekeep Mysteries sourcebook. Players do not have to play consistently each month to participate.

Those interested can sign up via our online calendar on a month-to-month basis. Space will be limited each month to six players. A DnD Beyond account and email address is required to play.

Are you a teen who loves to read? Join Rodman Public Library for the Teen Book Club that meets on the third Monday of the month at 4:00 p.m. at the Main Library. The selected title for September is The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Copies are available at the Main Library, through the library's catalog, or digitally through Axis 360 or the Ohio Digital Library. This program is patrons ages 12-18. Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to attend a special Zombie Nerf Night from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13. Teens should assemble in the Main Library auditorium at 5:00 p.m. for the after-hours event to get "zombified." Participants may bring in their own Nerf weapons or use some provided by the library. The library will also provide Nerf darts. Space is limited and registration is required at rodmanlibrary.evanced.info/signup.

Rodman Public Library is getting into the holiday spirit early this year with a Christmas Movie Series during the month of November.

Rodman Public Library's Christmas Movie Series continues on Monday, November 21 with the showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol.
