Maker Monday crafters will decorate wooden Easter eggs and basket when they meet
Monday, March 20 at 7 p.m. in Rodman Public Library's Main Auditorium.

Led by Nicole Brown, Maker Monday is an in-person craft program for adults that is held monthly on select Mondays.

All materials are provided free of charge, thanks to Friends of Rodman Library, but space is limited and registration is required for each session.

Rodman Public Library's Movie Night is one that will be fun for the entire family when it screens Puss in Boots: The Last Wish on Tuesday, March 7.

In the 2022 animated Dreamworks production, Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll and he has used up eight of his nine lives and embarks on an epic quest to restore them by finding the mythical Last Wish.

One is a mathematical constant. The other is a delicious dessert that comes in many flavors.

Rodman Public Library will combine the two on March 14 with a special Pi(e) Day for teens.

Eric Wilhelm, the self-proclaimed "Weather Geek" of the Mahoning Valley and chief meteorologist for WFMJ (Channel 21) in Youngstown, can be seen on weeknight newscasts at 6 p.m. and 11 p.m.

On Saturday, March 11 at 2 p.m., Wilhelm will appear at Rodman Public Library to present "The Children's Blizzard and Modern Weather Prediction," a One Book One Community program.

The Friends of Rodman Public Library is sponsoring a self-defense seminar fundraiser in March.

The two-hour event will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 22 inside the Rodman Main Auditorium. The cost is $20 and anyone 12 years and older can sign up to take part in the class.

Scouts from Alliance-area troops will talk about how they navigate wintry conditions during "Winter Survival 101," a One Book One Community event, at Rodman Public Library on Tuesday, February 21 at 7 p.m. Topics will include fire starting, shelter building, cooking and preparation for winter camping.
