History of Amateur Radio

Ron Rittenhouse, president of the Alliance Amateur Radio Club, will present The History of Amateur Radio on Monday, Sept. 30, at 7 p.m., in Rodman Library's Main Auditorium. The presentation features the concepts and functions of amateur radio, also known as ham radio. It is an avocation enjoyed by over 700,000 Americans and millions more worldwide. Teen Gaming Days

Every other Thursday, from 3-5 p.m., area teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library to play their favorite video games on the Xbox One, Xbox 360 with Kinect, Playstation 3 & 4, Nintendo Wii & WiiU, and Nintendo Switch. Visitors will have the opportunity to play a different game each week. Games with ratings from "E" for Everyone, up to"T" for Teen level, will be offered. Along with the video games, iPads are available to teens.
