Winter reading program for adults
Need a way to chase the winter blahs? Renew yourself with a good read and be entered into a prize drawing. Rodman Public Library is starting its Winter Reading Program for adults that will run from Monday, January 13, through Monday, February 24. For each book read, the reader will be entered into a weekly prize drawing for a Friends of the Library tote.
Need more incentive? With each sixth book read, participants will be entered into the grand prize drawing for a gift basket from Healthy Heart-Healthy Pleasures in Alliance, Ohio. The gift basket will offer an assortment of teas such as Relaxed Mind Tea, Echinacea-Plus Tea and Throat Comfort Tea, certified organic and raw honey, flax and chia seed blend, dark chocolate and other healthy goodies, Total Nutrition Drink, coconut oil, Omega 3 1000mg, GR 8 Acidophillus (probiotic), Wellness Formula and a pill box. This gift basket is approximately a $100.00 value. All prizes are provided courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
It’s easy and convenient to sign up for the Winter Reading Program. Just go online to Rodman Library’s home page and click on the link to begin the registration. At the Program Home Page, click on “Sign Me Up”. Fill out the form and click the “Save” button making sure that all required fields are filled in. The next page will be your own Activity Home Page that displays how many books have been read and how many days remain. Click on “Add/View Log” to enter the quantity of books read, author’s name and title, date and any comments. That’s it. You will receive an email confirming your user ID and password that you created. Make sure to keep your user ID and password as both will be needed to log in to your online reading record.
