Anime Club
Submitted by event_admin on Wed, 08/22/2012 - 12:33pmAll teens, ages 13-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library on Tuesday, September 18, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., to see the next Anime. September’s Anime will feature a “mystery” episode viewed on the Library’s big screen.
Every month a different Anime will be shown with discussion of the characters and comparison of Anime versions vs. Manga versions. Those teens who attend will be able to decide what gets shown from month to month.
Anime Club

Viewed on RPL’s big screen, the episode features an outlaw looking to cause trouble in a town surrounded by quicksand, with dozens of bounty hunters hired to protect the town and its mayor.

Recycle-it Scrapbooking
Submitted by event_admin on Sat, 07/14/2012 - 10:41amTeens, ages 13-18, are invited to create their own summer scrapbook using recycled materials. Terri Snode, a Rodman Library Children’s Department staff member, will be showing teens techniques to transform materials from around the house into a unique scrapbook of their summer experiences. Materials for the scrapbooks will be provided.
Registration is required by Friday, August 24. There is a limit of 20 participants. The program takes place on Friday, August 31, at 1:00 p.m. in the Main Library Auditorium.
Dream Big

This year's theme for both adults and children is "Dream Big... READ!", and the teen theme is "Own the Night." There will be programs, prizes, hands-on creative opportunities and special events for each age group.
Gaming Days
Submitted by site_admin on Thu, 05/17/2012 - 11:48amOn the first two Thursdays in June, from 3-5 p.m., area teens, ages 13-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library to play their favorite video games on the Xbox 360 with Kinect, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii and WiiU. The sessions will be held Thursdays, June 6 and 13. Visitors will have the opportunity to play a different game each week. Games with ratings from “E” for Everyone, up to”T” for Teen level, will be offered.
