All teens, ages 13-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library on Tuesday, May 28th, from 3:30-5:30 p.m., to see the next Anime. Viewed on RPL’s big screen.

All teens, ages 12-18, gather your friends and come to the Rodman Public Library on Tuesday, May. 21, from 3:00-5:00 p.m. The library will host a “Magic the Gathering and More” card game afternoon just for teens in the main auditorium. Bring your own cards, gather with other teens to play and have fun. Snacks will be offered. No reservations are needed. Call 330-821-2665, ext. 214.

All teens, ages 12-18, are invited to Rodman Public Library for a Movie Premiere on Tuesday, May 14, at 5:30 p.m. In this animated feature, when an evil spirit launches an assault on earth, a group of protectors team up to protect the innocence of children around the world.

The movie is rated PG and will be viewed on Rodman Library’s big screen in the main auditorium. It is free and open to all teens. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 214.

Teens 12-18 are invited to RPL on Thursday, Apr. 11, from 3:30-5:00 to be a part of the Internet dance craze. We will be filming our very own Harlem Shake somewhere in your library. Bring your moves, your ideas and, of course, your crazy outfits to this event.  Remember, your moves must be appropriate. Also make sure to get your parent’s permission. Join Sheryl Mason, Ph.D., a chemistry and biochemistry assistant professor at the University of Mount Union, and her general chemistry class at Rodman Library in the Children’s Program Room. As part of their college class experience, Mason’s chemistry students will present exciting and cool chemistry demonstrations to children such as ‘Dragon’s Breath’ and ‘Elephant’s Toothpaste’. Children will have fun with the chance of a hands-on opportunity to make slime while thinking like a scientist.

Discussion of the characters and comparison of Anime versions vs. Manga versions will follow. Teens who attend will be able to decide what gets shown from month to month.

In this movie a man has played the bad guy in his popular video game for many years. Wanting to change his image, he embarks on an action-packed adventure, which includes holding the fate of the arcade in his hands as he battles against an evil army, and sets out to prove to everyone that he is a true hero with a big heart.
