Alliance Yesterday, 1900-1950
Submitted by site_admin on Wed, 02/13/2013 - 11:05amDan Skivolocke, owner of Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home, will return to Rodman Library to continue his pictorial history of Alliance with the second 50 years titled "Alliance Yesterday, 1900-1950" on Wednesday, March 6, at 7:00 p.m., in Rodman Public Library’s main auditorium. Skivolocke began 21 years ago writing a weekly article for the Alliance Review called "We Were There" that eventually gave way to "Alliance Yesterday", a program about Alliance history he began presenting around 1992, with the help of the Alliance Historical Society.

The next meetings are scheduled for June 4 and June 18. Please note the meeting space for June 18 will be in the windowed seating area of the main floor. Bring your fibers and wheel or spindle. Anyone who spins, or who wants to learn how, is invited to network and compare notes.

SARTA Travel Training

Whether you're concerned with easing the strain on our environment or the strain on your wallet, Stark Area Regional Transit Authority (SARTA) is something to consider.
SARTA's Travel Trainers will talk about our public transportation system, how to use it and how to plan trips. A 31-day bus pass is available the first time you attend a Travel Training Session. A picture ID must be presented to receive a pass.
