Rocks Rock! Open House

Visit stations to learn about rocks. Families investigate the stations on their own. Plan on 30-45 minutes to complete the tour. Program offered by The Wilderness Center Staff.

Ohio Rocks!

Compare their distinct properties to learn how they were formed. Discuss uses of types of rock. Rock collections from the Ohio Division of Geological Survey introduces rock from nearby states and their uses. Includes a discussion of vast geologic time. For Grades 3-8, limit of 30. Patrons, ages birth through two years, and their parents or caregivers are invited to Wee Read, Monday evenings, July 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29, from 6:30-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday mornings, July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, from 10:30-11:00 a.m.

"Brown Bag" Lunch - Stories for children

Enjoy free hot lunches for those 18 years and under provided by the Summer Food Service Program or you may bring your own lunch and beverage. Located in the Children's Program Room-rain or shine. Dogs will “listen” to stories in the Children’s Program Room at the Main Library.
