Rocks Rock! Open House

Recommended for grades 2-6. Younger children are welcome, with adult assistance reading and following station directions. Visit stations to learn about rocks. Families investigate the stations on their own. Plan on 30-45 minutes to complete the tour. Program offered by The Wilderness Center Staff.

Ohio Rocks!

Join The Wilderness Center staff for a fun program while learning about Ohio rocks. Compare their distinct properties to learn how they were formed. Discuss uses of types of rock. Rock collections from the Ohio Division of Geological Survey introduces rock from nearby states and their uses. Includes a discussion of vast geologic time. For Grades 3-8, limit of 30. Technology You Can Use: eBook & eZine Borrowing

On April 29, Rodman Library will offer an eBook and Zinio lecture and hands-on demonstration to be held in the main auditorium at 6:30 p.m. A new offering from Rodman Library, “Zinio for Libraries”, allows library patrons to read and explore a diverse magazine selection using their library card. Zinio is an easy way for library patrons to read their favorite magazines in digital format on their PCs, Macs and app-enabled mobile devices.
