Summer reading activities
BOOK F.E.A.S.T. AT THE MAIN LIBRARY
Thurs.—June 12-July 31—12:00-1:00 PM The entire family is invited to our “Book F.E.A.S.T!” (Fun, Eats And Stories, Too!) program at the Main Library on Thursdays at noon from June 12-July 31. Free hot lunches for those 18 years and under is provided by the Summer Food Service Program, or bring your own lunch and beverage. No registration required.
TALES FOR TAILS
Fridays—June 13, 27, July 11, 25—2-4 PM Read aloud to a therapy dog. They are great listeners! You may sign up at the Children’s Desk for a 15-minute time slot on any of these dates. For children ages 5 and up who are able to read.
Sat., Aug. 2 from 2-3pm Discover Ohio animals with specimens and hands-on objects. Distinguish between mammal, bird, amphibian and reptile groups using concepts about basic differences. All ages. Registration required, limit of 60 children.
Tues., August 5 from 2-3pm Mysterious creatures, do they live among us or can science explain creatures like Bigfoot and Loch Ness? Find out! Join Lynette Reiner from Discover World. For school age (Gr. 1 & up) No registration required.
SUMMER ART EXPERIENCE
Children ages 5-13 will have the opportunity to take free classes in art (3 classes), music (4 classes) or drama (4 classes).
Advance registration is required. Registration forms are available at the Main and Branch Libraries.
