215 East Broadway Street Alliance, OH 44601 330-821-2665 Classroom CollectionsWhat it is:Classroom Collections are extended loans of materials teachers select to use in the classroom. The service is available in the Children's Department of the Main Library or on the Bookmobile. This service is not available from the Branch. The purpose:Classroom Collections allow a teacher to keep library materials together in the classroom for the duration of a particular study unit. Up to 150 items may be borrowed for Classroom use. We regret that materials for personal use are not eligible for the extended loan period. This includes any materials from the Adult Department and the Branch. How it works:When you have selected the materials you wish to borrow as a Classroom Collection, please let the Staff know as you present them for check-out. The loan period for Classroom Collections is 8 weeks.
Because others are often waiting to use the materials, we ask that you return as many books as possible on the due date. However, materials in Classroom Collections may be renewed for an additional 28 days, if they are not on reserve. A maximum of three renewals (28 days each) may be made. For your convenience, renewals may be made by calling the library at (330) 821-2665 or online. At the end of the loan period, you will receive an overdue reminder of any items not returned. After the first two-month loan period, we reserve the right to recall items which have been requested by other patrons. If an item is recalled, it is not eligible for renewal. We will notify you of items which need to be recalled. For further information on borrowing teacher collections for use in your classroom, contact the Children's Department at (330) 821-2665 or by email at . |
