Rodman's Amazon Wish List Program Continues to Be a Success

Last year Rodman Library became a part of Amazon.com’s Wish List program. The response has been tremendous. Our caring patrons have come together to purchase thirty eight items for the library since the program began in 2008. Those of you who have purchased items for Rodman Library have become a part of the library’s history and have made a difference in the lives of Alliance area readers. We continue to place items on the list, which can be accessed from our website, www.rodmanlibrary.com.

The Library’s Amazon Wish List consists of high-demand books, DVDs, and CDs that you can purchase and donate to the library, helping to meet an immediate and specific need.

When you buy the items on the library’s Amazon.com Wish List, they will be mailed directly to the library’s processing center. When the item is received, you will be notified by the library. A bookplate will be placed on each book letting future readers know it was a gift to the library from you. Only items on the Wish List should be ordered for the library.

As an added perk, when you purchase an item for Rodman Library you can choose to be the first to view it by entering a note in the "gift option" section. All donations are tax deductible as the law allows. Donors are advised to keep their receipts from Amazon.com in order to take advantage of tax deductions.

Rodman Library is also accepting donations for materials used in shipping and receiving Search Ohio materials. Items needed include extra-large zip lock bags, gallon size zip lock bags, gently-used padded mailers, clear packaging tape, heavy-duty rubber bands, and plastic grocery bags. Donating these items to the library will also meet an immediate need in helping to continue the Search Ohio program successfully.

We know that Alliance area residents will continue to do their part in supporting the library, and we thank you for your generosity.
