Students from the Canton Ballet will be performing a mini-class and offering an audience participation section as part of the “Dream Big…READ!” children’s summer reading program. The performance will be held in the Rodman Public Library auditorium on Tuesday, July 31, from 2:00-2:45 p.m. Following the program, performers and the class instructor will answer questions about what it takes to become a ballet dancer.
The Canton Ballet was founded in 1965 as the Canton Civic Ballet and presented its first public performance, The Nutcracker, in 1968. It provides training for young people and pre-professional dancers.
