Geocaching is the process of locating objects using GPS coordinates. You can do this from your own app-enabled device with a free downloadable app. Local geocaching enthusiast, Jim Perone, will be at Rodman Library on Tues., July 9, at 3:00 p.m. to explain just what geocaching is and how it works. After his brief demonstration, teens, ages 12-18, will be paired up and let loose until 5:00 p.m. to use their own mobile devices to locate hidden objects or “caches” on the library grounds. Prizes will be awarded to the top pair finishers.
Bring a friend and your own app-enabled device. No reservations are needed. For more information, call 330-821-2665, ext. 214.
