Light Up the Night

Date:
Tue, 07/17/2012 - 3:00pm - 4:30pm

Teens ages 13-18 are invited to Rodman Public Library to learn the art of glass fusion.

A representative from Hot Pots Pottery will be helping teens create their very own night lights by using a technique known as glass fusion. This make-and-take program will be held on Tuesday, July 17, at 3 p.m.

Glass fusing is a glass fabrication technique which involves heating glass in a kiln until it reaches a soft point, which allows the user to manipulate the glass in a variety of ways.

Teens will get to design their night lights, they will go back to Hot Pots to go through the kiln process, and then the teens will get to take their night light home.

The program is free and open to the public. Registration is required and there is a maximum of 20 participants. For more information, or to register, call 330-821-2665, then press “0”.
