Alliance Memory 10th Anniversary Celebration

Date:
Tue, 10/28/2014 - 7:00pm - 8:15pm

October is National Archives Month and Alliance Memory is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with the posting of the 3000th picture to its site — a photograph of the Lexington Hotel dining room in Alliance, Ohio. A program featuring the photographs and information from Alliance Memory will be presented by Karen Perone, president of the Alliance Historical Society, on Tuesday, October 28, at 7:00 p.m. in Rodman Main Auditorium.

Alliance Memory began as a joint venture between the Alliance Historical Society, Alliance City Schools, Copeland Oaks, Haines House, Negro History Club and Rodman Public Library. It features historic photographs of Alliance from the Alliance Historical Society, photographs of Morgan Engineering and Taylorcraft Airplanes, oral history recordings, and 1960s and 1970s transcriptions from Rodman Public Library, plus video interviews of World War II veterans who reside at Copeland Oaks.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information about this program, call Karen Perone at 330-821-2665, ext. 101.
