Fogle Author Series - Thrity Umrigar
As part of our 2014 Fogle Author Series funded by the Greater Alliance Foundation, Rodman Public Library is proud to present Thrity Umrigar who will speak at Rodman Library on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 2:00 p.m. in the main auditorium. “Umrigar is an Indian American journalist, critic, and a bestselling author of the novels Bombay Time, The Space Between Us, "First Darling of the Morning", "If Today Be Sweet", The Weight of Heaven, and "The World We Found", whose books have been translated into over fifteen languages including French, German, Arabic, Dutch and Indonesian. Currently an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at Case Western Reserve University, Umrigar regularly writes for the Boston Globe’s book pages, as well as writing for newspapers like the Washington Post and the Cleveland Plain Dealer. She was born and raised in Bombay, India and currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio. Umrigar practices Zoroastrianism and belongs to the Parsi community of India.”

The last visiting author of the 2014 Fogle Author Series to Rodman Library will be Prof. Richard Gilbert who will speak on Saturday, Nov. 29,at 2:00 p.m. Books will be available for purchase at Rodman Main Library prior to the authors’ visits which the authors will then sign at the time of the program.
