Amelia Bedelia Party

Date:
Mon, 02/18/2013 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Everyone loves Amelia Bedelia, a children’s book character who turns 50 years young this year. Rodman Public Library will celebrate her birthday with a children’s program on Monday, February 18, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Featured will be stories of Amelia Bedelia’s antics and games.

Created by author Peggy Parish in 1963, Amelia Bedelia is a literal-minded housekeeper. When she makes a sponge cake, she includes real sponges. When she weeds the garden, she replants the weeds. No one can resist Amelia and her literal trips through the minefield of the English language, or fail to notice that she’s usually right when she’s wrong.

All children five years old and over are invited to join in the fun. This special event will be held in the Children’s Program Room. No registration is required. For more information, call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.
