POLICE PROTECTION

The Lexington Township Board of trustees contracts for police protection with the Stark County Sheriff’s Department for 24 – hour protection to the Township.  The contract provides for all personnel, training, dispatching services, and all related equipment , including vehicles and service and repairs.

Funds for the contract come from a voted levy, which covers all expenses except for the deputy’s office space which is provided by the Township.  The location of the Sheriff’s substation is at 11700 Rockhill Avenue NE.
