Have you ever found an injured or orphaned wild animal and wondered what to do? On Wednesday, August 1, at 7:00 PM, come to the Children’s Program Room to hear Amanda talk about animal rehabilitation at the Sanders Center and what you can do to help wild animals. She will bring a few Sanders residents with her — an American kestrel, a box turtle, an American toad, and maybe an opossum. Bring the whole family!

If you’ll be entering 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in the fall and like critters, this workshop is for you. We’ll be learning about crickets, reading some cricket stories, and constructing cricket condominiums (materials provided). At the end of the workshop, you’ll have your own cricket house to take home and observe—complete with crickets! This event is being held at the Huston Brumbaugh Nature Center on Thursday, July 12 from 2:00-4:00 PM. Registration is limited, so call the library soon!
Meets once a month on a Thursday evening at the Alliance YWCA. For girls in middle school and high school along with an adult. Please call the Library for the next meeting date and book title.
