Meets once a month on a Thursday evening at the Alliance YWCA. For girls in middle school and high school along with an adult. Please call the Library for the next meeting date and book title.
Join us at the YWCA on Thursday, February 25 from 7:00-8:30 p.m. for our next Mother Daughter Book Discussion. The book to be discussed will be Richard Peck's The River Between Us. The YWCA is located at 239 E. Market Street. The program is free of charge and open to girls ages 13 and older and their mothers. Copies of the book are available for checkout in the Children's Department. For further information, please contact the Children's Department at 330-821-2665 x225.
Meetings for boys ages 9-11 will include book discussion, snacks and other activities. Meetings will be held the second Wednesday of each month from 4-5 p.m. Registration is limited to 10 students. You must be able to read on a 4th grade reading level. Please call the library to register.
Join the Children's Department at Rodman Library for a Young Explorer's Program beginning in October. The program is for ages 7-9 and will include stories, crafts, games and other activities. Meetings will be held in the Children's Program Room on the third Wednesday of each month from 4:15-5:00 p.m., beginning October 21, 2009 and ending April 21, 2010. Registration is required and is limited to 15. Call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665 for more information or to register.
Want to hear fun stories, learn new songs, and make crafts? Tell mom or dad to bring you to lapsit if you are 2 or 3 years old. If you are 4, 5, or 6 years old you can come to storytime.
Designed for child and an accompanying adult. Every Monday evening from 6:30-7:00 PM or Wednesday morning at 10:15 AM and 10:45 AM at the Main Library on Broadway Street. Experience age-appropriate books, music, and fingerplays. No registration required; come as often as you like. Held in the Children's Program Room.
Choose our Tuesday evening session at 6:30 PM or the Wednesday morning session at 10:00 AM at the Carnation Mall Branch through October. Enjoy storybooks, songs, fingerplays, and occasional crafts and games. No registration required.
