Scratch Board CD Clocks
Repurpose those old CDs into a working clock. How? With the use of paint, a scratching tool, a clock mechanism and your imagination, a useless CD can be transformed into an individualized piece of clock art. If you are between the ages of 13-18, join us on Thursday, Mar. 13, from 3:00-5:00 p.m., in RPL’s main auditorium. All teens will be given one blank CD to decorate. The first 15 participants will receive the clock mechanism. Acrylic paint in various colors will be provided. A technique called “scratch art” will be demonstrated. The clock mechanism will then be attached to the CD along with numbers to create a functioning clock.
