Memories and treasures should last a lifetime and be passed on to future generations. Learn low-cost ways to preserve family archives and how to preserve scrapbooks through two webinars offered during National Preservation Week, April 27-May 3, at Rodman Public Library. They are offered in conjunction with the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services, a division of the American Library Association.
“Low-Cost Ways to Preserve Family Archives,” will be offered Tuesday, April 29, at 2:00 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room. Most of us are creators and collectors of something we value or enjoy, such as family papers, cookbooks, or postcards. Obtain information on how to protect collectables from damage even if you think there is no perfect place to keep them. Learn about possible risks from handling and the environment, plus practical, inexpensive ideas to keep collections safe to help ensure what you have can be shared for many years to come
The programs are free and open to the public. Please call Rodman Public Library at 330-821-2665, ext. 101 for further information.
