Girl's Book Club

Girls, ages 9-11, are invited to meet in the Children’s Department at Rodman Public Library for the new “Just for Girls” Book Club being offered. Meetings will be held the third Wednesday of each month from 4:15-5:00 p.m., October 2012 through April 2013 (except the November book club will be held on Nov. 28 and no book club in December). Meetings will include book discussion, games and other activities. Children must be able to read on a 4/5 grade reading level.

The books to be discussed in the following months are: November – The Willoughby’s by Lois Lowry; December– No Book Club; January–Happy Birthday Sophie Hartley by Stephanie Greene; February– Nory Ryan’s Song by Patricia Giff; March– How to Steal a Dog by Barbara O’Connor and April– The Penderwicks on Gardam Street by Jeanne Birdsall.

Registration is required and limited to 10 students. Registered participants may check out the first book the week of September 24. For more information or to register, call 330-821-2665, ext. 223.
