Date:
Sat, 02/08/2014 - 3:00pm - 5:00pm

Shelley Shepard Gray, a two-time New York Times bestseller, a two-time USA Today bestseller, a finalist for the American Christian Fiction Writers prestigious Carol Award, and a two-time Holt Medallion winner will be speaking on Saturday, February 8, at 3:00 p.m., in Rodman Public Library Main Auditorium.

Gray, who is the author of inspirational novels such as The Days of Redemption series returns to the beloved setting of her Seasons of Sugarcreek series with new characters in her recent book Hopeful, Return to Sugarcreek, Book One. The main character in her new book, Miriam Zehr, works at a town restaurant, a favorite of the local residents as well as the tourists who come to enjoy the famous Amish cooking. She tries to have a smile for every customer but knows something’s missing…is she right to hope for the life she dreams of…with a family of her own? On her website Gray states, “She started to write stories about the Amish because their way of life appealed to her and she wanted to write about regular, likeable people in extraordinary situations – who happened to be Amish.” Her book will be available for signing with purchase at $12.99 list.

Shelley Shepard Gray lives in Southern Ohio, where she writes full-time, bakes too much, and can often be found walking her dachshunds on her town’s bike trail. Visit her website at www. shelleyshepardgray.com for more information on her recent novel and other books.
