The Lotus Eaters, by Tatjana Soli, is the book choice for May’s discussion. Soli’s novel focuses on Saigon, 1975. Helen Adams, an American photojournalist in Vietnam, must take leave of a war she is addicted to and a devastated country she has come to love. As she captures in pictures the wrenching chaos all around her, she also finds herself torn between the love of two men.
