Alien autopsy

Date:
Mon, 10/08/2012 - 2:00pm - 3:00pm

Rodman Library’s own “Mad Scientist”, librarian Terri Snode, will pay a visit to the Children’s Department on Monday, October 8, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. (school is closed for Columbus Day). Snode, and the children as lab assistants, will be conducting experiments at five different science stations. At station one - the children will create their own lab; station two - the children will learn about static electricity as they create an electricity ball; station three – children will mix a strange concoction to make flubber blubber; station four – children will make a vomiting Alien and station five – an edible Alien will be created.

Mad Scientist Snode will then end the program by performing an Alien autopsy as she delves into the brain, veins, intestines and heart of the Alien.

The program is for children, ages 8-12. It will take place in the Children’s Program Room at the Main Library. The program is free. Space is limited and registration is required. To register, call the library at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.
