Teen Tech Week

As part of the National Teen Tech Week, March 7 -10, from 3 to 5 p.m., Rodman Public Library will offer a Teen Tech Boot Camp. All teens, ages 12-18, are invited to participate in these free events at the main library. Day One: “Introduction to Coding” will be offered. We will discuss what it means to code and experiment using code.org. Participants will also be introduced to Makey Makey circuits that turn everyday objects into their very own computer controllers. Day Two and Day Three: Participants will be introduced to robotics using the Lego Mindstorm EV3 kits.

Un-Valentine's Day

Teens, are you tired of all the lovie-dovie Valentine’s Day mush? Yes? Join us on Thursday, Feb. 11, from 3 to 5 p.m. as we celebrate Un-Valentine’s Day in the main library’s auditorium. Do black roses, chocolate hearts and cookies with an Un-Valentine’s message sound good? If so, you’ll enjoy crafting roses from black duct tape, fashioning string dolls, molding black chocolate heart suckers, decorating broken heart-shaped sugar cookies with a message, and making an Un-Valentine’s Day card.
