Children can use their imagination and build with Legos at Rodman Public Library when the Lego Splash returns to the Children’s Department on the second Saturday of each month. Beginning on Saturday, September 10, the program will take place from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room. We provide the Lego and Duplo bricks, you provide the creations! The program is open to children of all ages. No registration is required.
Children of all ages are invited to an animated movie on Saturday, Jan. 7, from 10:00-11:30 a.m., in the Rodman Main Auditorium. Find out what your pets do all day when you’re not at home. Join us at Rodman Public Library every Thursday, June 8 through July 20, from noon to 1:00 p.m. For children, ages 3 and up, and their families, Book F.E.A.S.T. replaces Storytime at the Main Library. Staff will share books on the 2017 Summer Reading Program theme “Build a Better World.”
Enjoy winter without the cold! Rodman Library will host “Snowed In… at the Library”, on Monday, February 20, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., for children, ages 6-10, in the main auditorium. Listen to winter stories while drinking hot chocolate. Create a decorative snow shield to use during an indoor “snowball” fight using soft, stuffed snowballs. Attendees can also practice their throwing skills by hitting snow targets.
You’ve heard of the new craze of decorating rocks then hiding them for others to find? Join us in the Main Auditorium on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 11 a.m., for a family-friendly rock painting morning of fun. We will supply rocks and painting supplies for use. You supply the creativity.
