Monster Storytime with Hot Pots

Children, ages 3-12, are invited to Rodman Branch Library for a Monster Storytime on Wednesday, Jan. 20, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Jan. 23, at 11:00 a.m. A story will be read first at the Branch Library, then children and their guardian will proceed to Hot Pots to make a monster figurine. A $10.00 fee will be collected for supplies on the day of the program that will be payable to Hot Pots. Snacks will be offered. Registration is required for this event and can be made by stopping in at the Branch or calling 330-821-1313.

Humane Society Pet Items for Fines Drive

Adopt a petThe Stark County Humane Society is a private, charitable organization. It is not a county agency and does not receive funding from the United Way. Its continued success depends upon the support of the community through membership fees, gifts, and contributions. The shelter is open to the public daily except for holidays, and takes in sick and injured cats and dogs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Rodman Library is offering “Pet Items for Fines” through the month of May. The recipient of this collection will be the Stark County Humane Society. For every item donated, $2.00 in fines will be forgiven from a patron’s record.

"Minute-to-Win-It"

Based on the popular TV Show, children from ages 6-12 can sign up to do a challenge within a minute. This event will take place on Saturday, Apr. 30, from 2 to 3 p.m., in Rodman Main Auditorium. Registration is required. For more information, stop by or call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.
