Pony Storytime with Hot Pots

Children, ages 3-12, are invited to Rodman Branch Library for Pony Storytime on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 26, at 11:00 a.m. A story will be read first at the Branch Library, then children and their guardian will proceed to Hot Pots to make a small pony figurine. A $10.00 fee will be collected for supplies on the day of the program that will be payable to Hot Pots. Snacks will be offered. Registration is required for this event and can be made by stopping in at the Branch or calling 330-821-1313.

Storytime at Main and Branch Libraries

Rodman Main Library and Rodman Library Branch will host Storytime for 3-5 year olds. Patrons may attend Storytime at either location on Tuesday evenings, Nov. 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 6:30-7:15 p.m. or Thursday mornings, Nov. 5, 12, and 19, from 10:30-11:15 a.m. There will be no Storytime on Thursday, Nov. 26, due to Thanksgiving. The goal of Storytime is to encourage life-long readers through stories, music, movement and activities. Pre-registration is not required.

Lego Splash!

Children can use their imagination and build with Legos at Rodman Public Library when the Children’s Department hosts Lego Splash! The program will take place on Saturday, October 10, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room. We provide the Lego and Duplo bricks, you provide the creations! The program is open to children of all ages. No registration is required. For more information, or if you would like to donate Lego or Duplo bricks to the library for these programs, stop by or call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Tales for Tails

Rodman Public Library offers children the chance to try their reading skills on local therapy dogs on the third Saturday of the month from 2:00-4:00 p.m. These specially trained dogs will “listen” to stories in the Children’s Program Room at the Main Library.
