Fogle Author Series - Thrity Umrigar

Thrity UmrigarThe 2014 Fogle Author Series presents its second author, Thrity Umrigar, who will speak on the rescheduled date of Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2:00 p.m., in Rodman Main Auditorium. “Umrigar is an Indian American journalist, critic, and a bestselling author of the novels Bombay Time, The Space Between Us, "First Darling of the Morning", "If Today Be Sweet", The Weight of Heaven, and "The World We Found", whose books have been translated into over fifteen languages including French, German, Arabic, Dutch and Indonesian.

Create-a-Scarf

Joan Roberts will demonstrate to adults how to crochet a 
fashionable scarf they can make for themselves or for a holiday 
gift. The class will take place on Monday, Nov. 17, at 6:30 p.m.
at Rodman Branch Library. A list of supplies needed to create 
the scarf will be available in advance of the program. 
Participants will create their own scarf during the class. 
Registration is required for the event and can be made by 
stopping in at the Branch at the Marketplace Plaza or calling 
330-821-1313.

 

Stylish Scarf Tying with Best Bib and Tucker

Join us at the Rodman Library Branch with a representative from Best Bib and Tucker on Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 4 to 4:45 p.m. for a fun girls’ night. In this program participants will learn a dozen basic ways to tie a scarf and how to wrap a package with a square scarf. More advanced ties will also be demonstrated. Be sure to bring a scarf or two for practice, but we’ll also have a few available for use. This is a free event. Registration is required. Stop at the Branch Check Out Desk or call 330-821-1313 to register.

Author-David Craddock

David L. Craddock, author of Stay Awhile and Listen, a three-part series that chronicles the history of World of WarCraft developer Blizzard Entertainment and Diablo/Diablo II developer Blizzard North, and Heritage, a young adult fantasy novel, will be speaking on Monday, Nov. 17, at 7 p.m. in Rodman Main Auditorium.

Holiday Wrapping Tips with Yum Yum Tree

Adults are invited to Rodman Branch Library for a special Yum Yum Tree Gift Wrapping Tips program, Wednesday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. A staff representative from the Yum Yum Tree will be demonstrating to adults how to make bows and special holiday wrapping tips for their own gift-giving. This event is limited to 20 participants. Registration can be made by stopping at the Branch or calling 330-821-1313.
