Storytime at Main and Branch Libraries

Rodman Main Library and Rodman Library Branch will host Storytime for 3-5 year olds. Patrons may attend Storytime at either location on Tuesday evenings, Nov. 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 6:30-7:15 p.m. or Thursday mornings, Nov. 5, 12, and 19, from 10:30-11:15 a.m. There will be no Storytime on Thursday, Nov. 26, due to Thanksgiving. The goal of Storytime is to encourage life-long readers through stories, music, movement and activities. Pre-registration is not required.

The goal of Storytime is to encourage life-long readers through stories, music, movement and activities. Pre-registration is not required.

Lego Splash!

Children can use their imagination and build with Legos at Rodman Public Library when the Children’s Department hosts Lego Splash! The program will take place on Saturday, October 10, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. in the Children’s Program Room. We provide the Lego and Duplo bricks, you provide the creations! The program is open to children of all ages. No registration is required. For more information, or if you would like to donate Lego or Duplo bricks to the library for these programs, stop by or call the Children’s Department at 330-821-2665, ext. 223.

Tales for Tails

Rodman Public Library offers children the chance to try their reading skills on local therapy dogs on the third Saturday of the month from 2:00-4:00 p.m. These specially trained dogs will “listen” to stories in the Children’s Program Room at the Main Library.

Wee Read

Wee Read, a program offered through the Children’s Department, is designed to introduce children to books, fingerplays and music incorporating the six early learning skills. Patrons, ages birth through two years, and their parents or caregivers are invited to Wee Read, Monday evenings at the main library, Dec. 7, 14, 21 and 28, from 6:30-7:00 p.m. and Wednesday mornings at the main and branch libraries, Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, from 10:30-11:00 a.m. Sessions last 20-30 minutes. No registration is required. Come as often as you like.

Wee Read

Wee Read, a program offered through the Children's Department, is designed to introduce children to books, fingerplays and music.  Children ages birth through two years and their parents or caregivers are invited to Wee Read on Monday evenings from 6:30-6:50 p.m. at the main library and Wednesday mornings from 10:30-10:50 a.m. at the main or branch libraries.  There will be no Wee Read at the main library on Wednesday morning August 5 and 12 due to the Used Book Sale.
