Goat Hill History

Join Giovanni Andreazzi and John Gross as they present a lively program on the history of Goat Hill. Sponsored by the Alliance Historical Society, the program will take place on Wednesday, April 26, at 7 p.m., in Rodman Library’s Main Auditorium. Goat Hill is an area in the eastern part of Alliance that was famous for its athletes and sports teams. The story is told that because there were so many Welsh immigrants in the area, and their Welsh ancestors were goat herders, it came to be called Goat Hill.

Tricky Max Comedy Magic Show

Paul Adams, as “Tricky Max,” will be appearing at Rodman Main Auditorium on Tuesday, July 25, at 3 p.m. His show will complement the national Summer Reading theme of “Build a Better World.” Adams is a one-of-a-kind performer who has a distinctive voice, comic energy, and entertains his audience with an interactive program of comedy, fun-loving age-appropriate jokes, magic, and over-sized puppets. This year kids, and those young-at-heart, will meet a busy builder named Justin Beaver who will show them how reading can help them build a better world at home, school, and play.
