Murder at Carnegie Free Library

Join us on Thursday, Apr. 13, from 5 to 8 p.m., in Rodman Main Auditorium for Murder at Carnegie Free Library: An After-Hours Murder Mystery Event. "It’s rumored that the library director position at the Carnegie Free Library is cursed. On the eve of the director’s tenth year, each library director has died, dating all the way back to when the new library building was built in 1963. Stephanie Queen, a renowned horror and paranormal author, is releasing a new book: The Haunting of Rockhill Mine, a horror-treasure hunting novel.

Nerf Challenge

Teens, ages 12-18, are invited to join us at the Main Auditorium on Thursday, March 23, from 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m., for an after-hours, Nerf Challenge event. Two challenges will be conducted. Teens will be allowed to use Nerf weapons during both challenges. Teens are allowed to bring their Nerf weapons that follow the guidelines of the program.

Goat Hill History

Join Giovanni Andreazzi and John Gross as they present a lively program on the history of Goat Hill. Sponsored by the Alliance Historical Society, the program will take place on Wednesday, Apr. 26, at 7 p.m., in Rodman Library’s Main Auditorium. Goat Hill is an area in the eastern part of Alliance that was famous for its athletes and sports teams. The story is told that because there were so many Welsh immigrants in the area, and their Welsh ancestors were goat herders, it came to be called Goat Hill.
